This is a list of the competencies and specialties that I feel qualified to address in health coaching services.
Nutrition
I have extensive training in nutrition via the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as well as many years of personal research. Nutrition is a very large and complex topic and can include things such as macronutrients, genetic variables, food allergies and sensitivities, food combining, calories, different food types, finding quality foods, and creating a personal eating plan.
Herbal Medicines and Supplements
A big topic like nutrition. We use and enjoy mostly single based herbs, spices, enzymes, probiotics, and essential oils. Our basic philosophy is to take a variety of herbs and supplements to get broad spectrum benefit and protection from various health conditions.
Fitness
Fitness and Exercise are mandatory for health. There are many categories, types, and styles of exercise. These include cardio, strength training, flexibility, agility, speed, balance, hormonal training, mental fitness.
Gut Health
Gut health would appear to be a topic that many people unfortunately have to deal with. It is easy to have problems in this area. Items here would include the basics of good digestion. Eating and exercising for gut health. Supplemental foods and medicines. Probiotics. Getting rid of bad bacteria/virus/parasites and biofilms. Detoxification and Elimination. Stress and emotional topics involving these systems, and more.
Body Work
Helping people to navigate the complex and beautiful realm of body work. Therapies discussed may include chiropractic, massage, yoga, mobility issues, and hot/cold therapies.
Positive Thought Patterns
A prerequisite for good health. It is important to develop or maintain willpower, discipline, focus, positivity, humility, and several other mental habits.
Meditation, Spirituality, and Contemplative Practice
Very closely related to Positive thought patterns, it is important to have a practice that helps you tune in to yourself and also things greater than yourself. These practices can do many things. They can calm you down. Improve mental and emotional health. Bring spiritual awareness. The benefits of this type of practice are often very personal and not always able to be quantified.
Continuing Education
People only stop learning if they choose to do so. I am continually working on new wellness topics to advance personally and professionally. Recent topics include Love, Relationships, and Work Philosophies.
